11th January 2025 | Life Behind The Lens with Keith Partridge, Reghed

Join Keith Partridge, author of The Adventure Game as they show their new film Bonington: Mountaineer created with Brian Hall from 4pm. From 7:30pm, Keith will provide an insight into his ‘Life Behind the Lens’ through a spectacular illustrated presentation with pictures, video-clips and stories from his wild filming adventures around the world. Click here for more information: film showing and illustrated presentation

 

24th January 2025 | Another 100 Greatest Cycling Climbs, Wild Writers Festival

Join Simon Warren as he shares his fascination with seriously steep roads, talking you through an enticing tour of brutal hills. He will be in conversional with travel writer, presenter and cyclist Stuart Kenny from 6-7:30pm at Cross Keys, 24 Northgate Peebles. Tickets are available from £6-£14. 25th January 2025 | An Evening with Helen Mort, Wild Writers Festival
 
Join award-winning poet and novelist Helen Mort in lively conversation with writer and environmental adventurer Kate Rawles. The talk will take place between 8-9:30pm at Eastgate Theatre and tickets cost between £8 and £16. Click here for more information


16th February 2025 | Discovery Session, Running Challenges with Keri Wallace at Fort William Mountain Festival
 
Join Keri Wallace, author of Running Challenges, alongside Kirsty Reade as they  a look inside popular new guidebook. Our speakers will share top tips and explore how to get the most rewarding experience from your next running challenge. Taking place from 12:30 at Nevis Centre, tickets cost £9.50. 15th February 2025 | A Session with Kirsty Reade at Fort William Mountain Festival

"I've got an idea for a book", how to put your book idea into action. The goal of the session is to demystify the publishing process, helping to equip potential authors with the information and tools to take their ideas forward. The session will include tips on proposal writing and open discussion of how publishers make commercial decisions about what books they want to publish.
